Hi, I am Cynthy Wu and I joined the union in 2012. As I am learning firsthand, our union is only as strong as the involvement of its membership and that is why I would like to run for Convention Delegate. As a working actor in commercials, film and television, I hope to have the opportunity to serve my union members at convention.

As I am learning firsthand, our union is only as strong as the involvement of its membership, and that is why I would like to run for Convention Delegate. I am a young, working actor and I want to do my part to help protect the livelihoods of union members in the years ahead. The issues that matter most to me are protecting and prioritizing healthcare benefits for members and their families, protecting our earnings and residuals commensurate to inflation, on-set safety, advocating diversity and inclusion, as well as protecting our craft and time with guidelines around self-tapes and auditions. With AI threatening our livelihoods, I am proud to be a union member, and I am thankful for the changes I have witnessed in the recent leadership-- especially the increased transparency and efforts to keep members informed of our current negotiations. I am proud of our union who stands more united than ever during this time, and if I am voted to be your Convention Delegate, I will do all that I can to represent the voice of our Los Angeles local membership at convention.
