Kate joined SAG in 2011. Before that, she worked as a political organizer, most notably as a Field Organizer on the Obama Campaign in 2008 and as GOTV director on Congressman Ami Bera's campaign in 2010.

Issues I care about:
"Using power builds power." This quote by Sara Nelson, President of the Association of Flight Attendants, is being proved true every day by our members as we withhold our labor and walk the picket lines together. We are showing the studios, the industry, and the world just how enormously powerful our guild really is. I am so proud of us, and I'm proud to be one of the new SAG-AFTRA captains, helping to keep our members safe on the picket line. In the coming years, I hope to see our captains system grow into a powerful tool for member organizing and communication by creating a large network of dedicated, well-informed members who know how our union works, how to help our fellow members, and how to help our guild build even more power. Let's work together to win this strike and keep making our union stronger.
